Betsy Starr
Betsy Starr:
Betsy is responsible for staff recruitment and supervision of Accion’s intern program. She received an Executive Master‘s degree in Business Administration from the University of New Mexico’s Anderson School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. John’s College, with a major in philosophy and a minor in mathematics. She has certification in business accounting and nonprofit management.
Prior to coming to Accion, Betsy worked in animal welfare, human services, the Mississippi public school system and for a start-up business in a local business incubator. She has a passion for helping people and animals and currently volunteers as treasurer for the Russian Orthodox Church in Santa Fe and for Adelante’s homeless teens and families program.
