When Evangelina Moreno grew tired of watching her neighbors in her border colonia drive miles just to get a copy made or a fax sent or to buy diapers, she decided to act. She transformed her garage into a community convenience store. What she lacked was the capital to fill it. One of ACCION’s valued community partners, the New Mexico Small Business Development Center Network, helped Evangelina find her way to ACCION and a $3,285 loan.
We see collaboration as a way to create economic transformation.
