Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City Appoints Anne Haines Yatskowitz to Denver Branch Board of Directors



Albuquerque, N.M. (Jan. 15, 2010) – The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City has appointed Anne Haines Yatskowitz, president & chief executive officer of ACCION New Mexico ∙ Arizona ∙ Colorado, to its Denver Branch Board of Directors for a three-year term, effective Jan. 1, 2010. “I am delighted to have the opportunity to serve on the board of directors of the Denver Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. I appreciate the Federal Reserve’s desire to have a community development financial institution’s perspective on the board and I look forward to sharing input on the needs of small businesses at a grassroots level in the communities ACCION serves,” said Haines Yatskowitz. The Denver Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City serves financial institutions and the public throughout Colorado, Wyoming and northern New Mexico. The board of directors meets eight times a year to discuss economic and financial developments affecting its region as well as operational matters. “We are pleased to have Anne participate on the Denver Branch's board,” stated Mark Snead, Assistant Vice President and Branch Executive. “She will be a strong director because of her leadership in the community and her ability to provide the Fed with valuable information on the regional economy and local business conditions.” Haines Yatskowitz joins the following on the board of directors: Margaret Kelly, chief executive officer, RE/MAX International, Inc.; Charles H. Brown III, president and chief executive officer, C.H. Brown Company; Barbara Mowry, president and chief executive officer, Silver Creek Systems; Bruce K. Alexander, president and chief executive officer, Vectra Bank Colorado; and Larrisa L. Herda, chairman, chief executive officer and president, tw telecom. ACCION is dedicated to helping small business owners create assets, build wealth, and achieve financial health. The organization offers small business loans between $200 and $150,000 along with training, networking and other support services to those who want to start a business or business owners looking to expand. --##-- Founded in 1994, ACCION has financed the start-up and/or growth of 2701 businesses through 4,363 loans totaling more than $28.3 million.
