ACCION Welcomes Three New Members to Board of Directors



Albuquerque, N.M. (Apr. 19, 2010) – ACCION New Mexico ∙ Arizona ∙ Colorado (ACCION) is honored to welcome Rob Boosman, Michelle Coons and Lisa Riley to its board of directors. These talented banking industry veterans demonstrate passion for empowering entrepreneurs and small businesses everyday, making them a natural fit with the ACCION’s mission.
 
Rob Boosman, Arizona market president, First Community Bank, brings over 35 years of banking industry experience to ACCION’s board of directors. Throughout his career, Boosman has enjoyed mentoring small business owners and entrepreneurs and sharing his financial experience to assist with efforts to grow their business. Additionally, he has held leadership positions in many local non-profit and professional organizations.
 
Michelle Coons, regional commercial banking manager, Southwest division and senior vice president, Bank of the West, joins ACCION’s board of directors with 27 years of experience in the banking industry. Coons is also deeply involved in several community outreach initiatives. She serves as chair of University of New Mexico Anderson School of Management National Advisory Board, and is currently a board member of the Association of Commerce and Industry, UNM Foundation Board, Heart Gallery Foundation of New Mexico, New Mexico Women’s Forum, United Way of Central New Mexico and Lavender in the Village.
 
Lisa Riley, regional president, New Mexico Community Banking, Wells Fargo, has worked in the financial services industry for 24 years, and currently manages more than 1,200 team members across the state of New Mexico.  Previously, Riley held the positions of community banking president for Wells Fargo in the Scottsdale market, and most recently was the regional president for Metro Phoenix West. In addition to her responsibilities at Wells Fargo, Riley serves as a member of the board of directors for New Mexico Bankers Association, United Way of Central New Mexico, Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce, the Kirtland Partnership and Albuquerque Economic Development.
 
“The talents of Rob, Michelle and Lisa truly humble us here at ACCION, and we are very grateful that they have joined our volunteer board of directors,” said Anne Haines Yatskowitz, president and chief executive officer, ACCION New Mexico ∙ Arizona ∙ Colorado. “I know their passion for supporting the entrepreneurial spirit of our clients will help ACCION grow, and I’m looking forward to working with each one of them as ACCION moves forward together with our clients.”
 
ACCION is dedicated to helping small business owners create assets, build wealth, and achieve financial health. The organization offers small business loans between $200 and $150,000 along with training, networking and other support services to those who want to start a business or business owners looking to expand.
