Paula and her husband John came to ACCION in financial crisis in 2004 after they had both experienced dramatic cuts in pay from their jobs. Out of economic necessity, they launched a small business to provide for their family Now, three ACCION loans later, the couple’s business provides work to some 120 subcontractors in the U.S., many of whom are single mothers supporting their own families.
