ACCION New Named Small Business Advocate of the Year By Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce

The Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce recently recognized ACCION New Mexico and its CEO, Anne Haines Yatskowitz, among the organizations and individuals who demonstrate chamber support through leadership, competence and vigor.

Chamber officials presented Yatskowitz with their Small Business Advocate of the Year Award to honor ACCION's work helping individuals overcome obstacles in starting small businesses.

“ACCION is a treasure in this community,” said Terri Cole, chamber president and CEO. “There are countless businesses in the state that simply would not exist if not for ACCION’s support. Economic development hinges on business success and ACCION provides invaluable services that make dreams come true for many entrepreneurs.”


ACCION New Mexico breaks down barriers to capital for underserved entrepreneurs through its business loan program and connects small business owners with community resources.


“At ACCION, we know that entrepreneurs are some of New Mexico’s most powerful catalysts for lasting economic change,” said Lynn Trojahn, ACCION New Mexico’s vice president of advancement. “We are honored that the Greater Albuquerque Chamber has chosen to recognize ACCION’s award-winning community development efforts so, together, we can foster sustainable communities.”
