Vectra Bank Colorado Receives Open Door Award from Accion Vectra Bank Colorado (Vectra Bank) is being recognized with an Open Door Award from Accion New Mexico • Arizona • Colorado (Accion). The Open Door Award honors financial institutions that have provided outstanding support to Accion in its work equipping business owners and entrepreneurs with the credit and training to generate revenue and create jobs. Vectra Bank President and CEO Bruce Alexander will be presented with the award at Accion's Financial Friends Fiesta on May 22, 2012 in Albuquerque. He is also the keynote speaker for the event. The Financial Friends Fiesta is an annual event recognizing Accion's financial and community development referral partners. Vectra Bank has provided a ten-year investment of $250,000 at 0% interest to support Accion's work helping small businesses flourish in San Juan County, New Mexico and the following counties in Colorado: La Plata, Montezuma, Eagle, Garfield, Pitkin, and Routt. In addition, the bank is an Accion Founding Funder with charitable contributions of over $10,000 to support Accion's work in the region. Vectra Bank also provides volunteer service to Accion, including on the organization's Colorado advancement committee. Reflecting on Vectra Bank's support of Accion and its mission of supporting entrepreneurship and small business growth, Alexander says, "we are honored to partner with Accion. Supporting small and mid-sized businesses is a core part of our commitment to the communities in which we live and work. Accion is a natural partner for us as they give people the financial tools they need to improve their lives.
