Presbyterian’s Jim Hinton, Banker Justin Harper and Attorney Andy Schultz Join Board

ACCION New Mexico welcomes Presbyterian Healthcare Services President and CEO Jim Hinton, Citizens Bank of Las Cruces President and CEO Justin Harper and Rodey Law Firm President and Managing Director Andy Schultz to its board of directors.

They are the latest additions to the nonprofit small business lender’s governing body, which is comprised of business and community leaders from across the state. The board guides ACCION in fulfilling its community and economic development mission throughout New Mexico.

“Jim, Justin and Andy are outstanding community leaders who bring incredible insight and energy to our organization,” said Anne Haines Yatskowitz, ACCION New Mexico president and CEO. “We are thrilled and honored to welcome them to the ACCION team.”

Jim Hinton is president and CEO of Presbyterian Healthcare Services, New Mexico’s largest healthcare system, serving more than 650,000 customers throughout the state. While serving at the helm of the nonprofit healthcare system since 1995, Jim has also made community leadership a priority. His recent leadership accomplishments include chairmanships of the New Mexico Hospitals and Health Systems Association, Albuquerque Economic Development, Albuquerque Economic Forum and United Way of Central New Mexico. Hinton is the immediate past-chair of the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce and has served on this board for nine years. He has also served as chair of the Governor's task force for healthcare reform and on the Insure New Mexico Council.

Justin Harper is president and CEO of Citizens Bank of Las Cruces. He has guided the bank to invest resources and energy in critical community needs, including corporate and individual support of New Mexico State University, Las Cruces Public Schools, medical facilities, youth organizations, the Chamber of Commerce, community groups, ACCION and many other organizations. Harper is a well-respected business and community leader, serving on the boards of Memorial Medical Center Hospital and the New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority.

Andy Schultz is president and managing director of Rodey, Dickason, Sloan, Akin & Robb, P.A., in Albuquerque. His primary practice is in complex civil litigation, class actions and civil rights. Schultz also serves as an adjunct professor and frequent lecturer at the University of New Mexico School of Law. He is president of the Federal Bar Association for the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico and chair of the New Mexico Supreme Court’s Minimum Continuing Legal Education Committee.
