Pamela Nance to Oversee Nonprofit Lender’s Local Operations
A veteran banker has joined ACCION New Mexico’s team as regional outreach manager and will work in the nonprofit lender’s first regional office, located in Hobbs.

Pamela Nance will oversee ACCION’s efforts to deliver business credit and support to underserved entrepreneurs in Lea County and throughout the southeastern portion of the state.

“Pam brings strong management and lending experience to this critical new position,” said Linda Lee, ACCION director of business development and outreach. “With her leadership, we can bring economic empowerment to the doorsteps of small business owners in Lea County and southeast New Mexico through the business loans and support we offer.”

With 17 years of banking experience, Ms. Nance most recently served as an assistant vice president at Western Commerce Bank in Hobbs, where she created, then managed, a centralized commercial loan processing department. She started as a loan secretary for Western Commerce in Carlsbad and was later promoted to one of the bank’s branches in Hobbs as an assistant to the branch manager and a commercial lender. She also served as a commercial loan auditor and office manager for Western Commerce.

“In my career, I’ve found my passion lies in the relationships I have built with my customers, including hardworking small business owners,” Ms. Nance said. “As ACCION’s regional outreach manager, I’m excited to work side-by-side with entrepreneurs to expand economic opportunity for them and their communities.”

The Kentucky native has a bank management certificate from the University of New Mexico’s Anderson Schools of Management and a computer programming certificate from Mayo State Vocational Technical School in Paintsville, Ky.
