ACCION Offers Financial Empowerment Seminar for Small Businesses:

Albuquerque, N.M. (Feb. 23, 2009) – As part of its monthly Financial Empowerment Series, ACCION is hosting a free small business seminar on March 4, Getting Your Small Business Ready for Tax Season. Local tax preparation and financial experts Ruth Ann Castellano-Piatt, CPA and tax manager for Pulakos & Alongi, and Lisa Apodaca Lafferty, a local business owner and former accountant will share tips and tools on how to successfully prepare your business for tax season. Whether you complete your tax returns yourself or use tax preparation help, this presentation will help ease the stress of tax season.  This informative session is free and open to the public. The session will be held at 6:00 p.m. at ACCION’s office at 20 First Plaza NW, Suite 417 in downtown Albuquerque. Please call (505) 243-8844 for directions and more information.
