ACCION and The Gallup SBDC Partner to Offer Upcoming Workshops on Finding and Managing Business Credit

Albuquerque, N.M. (March 4, 2011) –ACCION New Mexico • Arizona • Colorado (ACCION) and the Gallup Small Business Development Center (SBDC) are partnering to host two free workshops this month on topics related to finding and managing credit.  While targeted to aspiring and existing small business owners and self-employed entrepreneurs, the workshops are open to the general public and will offer useful money and credit management tips.
 
The first free session, Understanding Money and Credit, will focus on how to build and manage a positive credit history.  This workshop will be held Wednesday, March 16 from noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Gallup-McKinley County Chamber of Commerce office at 106 W. Highway 66 in Gallup. 
 
The second free session, Prepare For and Get the Credit You Need, will focus on how to successfully find financing to start or expand a small business.  This workshop will be held Wednesday, March 16 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Gallup-McKinley County Chamber of Commerce office at 106 W. Highway 66 in Gallup.

The Gallup SBDC is a partnership program with the U.S. Small Business Administration and offers free one-on-one consulting, training courses, and government procurement assistance to northwestern New Mexico businesses and entrepreneurs. 
 
ACCION is dedicated to helping small business owners create assets, build income, and achieve financial health. The organization offers small business loans between $200 and $150,000 along with training, networking and other support services to those who want to start a business or business owners looking to expand.
