Rob Boosman
A former member of Accion’s Board of Directors, Rob Boosman is Accion's chief operating officer.
Rob has many years of experience in financial services and management derived from retail and commercial banking assignments. During the early part of his career, he was employed by large national banks in relationship management positions and later in senior management capacities. In 1998, Rob joined Camelback Community Bank where he was instrumental in the start-up and management of the small business-oriented community bank. Rob’s career changed significantly in 2003 when he accepted the presidency of a Phoenix, Arizona based manufacturing business owned by one of his long-time customers. In this assignment, he was responsible for all aspects of the operation of this 25-year old company engaged in the production of digital imaging products. This “hands-on” experience further enhanced his knowledge and appreciation of the numerous issues facing small business owners. Rob returned to the banking industry in 2005 and continued his work with small and medium sized businesses. His most recent assignment was Market President for Arizona and Southern New Mexico with First Community Bank, now US Bank.

Throughout his career, Rob has volunteered time to act as mentor for entrepreneurs and small business owners and has maintained focus on the banking relationships that can be crucial to the success of those businesses. He has also shared his experience by serving on the Board and as officer of various nonprofit and professional organizations, including founding Board member of the Arizona Character Education Foundation and as a member of the governing body of Athena Powerlink.
Rob earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Missouri and graduated with honors from the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington in August 2003. He resides in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife and son.
